Semi-austenitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel with added aluminum; the steel has similar component with 18-8 austenitic steel, good metallurgical property and processability; it can get different intensity, plasticity and toughness after heat treatment.
It is mainly used in making structural parts, container, pipeline, mechanical spring and gasket chronically working below 350?.
The steel's technology of heat treatment is very complicated and it has the tendency to be replaced by maraging steel, but it is widely used at present.
